Workshop Coordinator

Description/Responsibilities
Work with Pamela Sarantos to plan and run the program committee's workshops. She has several planned through the year. Each one takes substantial effort to do it well. Pam needs help with that part of the program. As with the SIGs, opportunities for leadership exist here.

• Handle specific responsibilities for each workshop (identification of workshop topic and presenter, web site information, publicity, registration and payment, coordination at the workshop).
• Work with the Internet Committee and the PR Committee to publicize the workshop, the Sponsorship Coordinator to get outside funding to defray the costs, and the Treasurer to obtain checks and to account for the income and expenses associated with the workshop.

• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail

Time Commitment
4 hours/workshop, plus attendance at the workshop
