Offer friendship and mentoring to a child as a Big Brother or Big Sister. These boys and girls are generally from single parent homes.

The commitment to be a Big Brother or Big Sister depends on which organization you choose. Basically, it takes 2 to 4 hours minimum once a week for 1 to 2 years. All you need to bring is patience and understanding for a young person who may come from difficult circumstances.
