Your Chapter Needs YOU!
New volunteers are always valuable
since they contribute new ideas and additional skills.
We all have the same goals, such as, to further
our skills, learn more about and promote our profession, and network
with others. Please pitch in to help us provide services to you
and our STC Boston Chapter members.
The International SIG meets to discuss topics related to translation and localization,
such as cultural aspects of international communication, writing for localization,
translation and localization tools, working with localization vendors, project

Program
WEBINAR: across Language Server as a Central Platform for Authoring Assistance
Description
crossAuthor, across Systems' innovative technology, connects the content creation process in applications you are already using like FrameMaker, InDesign, XMetal, Arbortext, etc. to the translation and terminology memory. Across Systems' customers report savings of up to 50% after implementing this tool. Join us to learn:
why your translation memory and your terminology database are valuable resources that should not only be used by translators, but also by technical writers
how the integration of the translation environment in the editorial environment works (based on an example of crossAuthor for Word)
about an easy translation-oriented authoring
why efficient translating starts with the composition of the source text
